What do Bo Jackson, Paul McCartney and your dentist have in common?

Bo Jackson is a retired professional baseball and football player. He was the first athlete to be named an All-Star in two major American sports. He also won the Heisman Trophy in 1985.

Sir James Paul McCartney is a singer, songwriter, mulch-instrumentalist, and composer.
While everyone know him as one of the Beatles, did you know on his "McCartney" album he played all the instruments and did all the voices? McCartney may be considered the most successful composer and recording artist of all time.

So while your dentist cannot play baseball and football anymore, nor can he sing and play music like Paul McCartney (except in his dreams) it is important that there is a multifaceted person at work for you.
Certainly of primary importance in the understanding of dentistry. But the ability to convey one's care, skill and judgment comes from years of honing the craft. There must be the right mix of craftsman, scientist, artist, visionary and good listener...probably in the reverse order of importance.
This multifaceted approach and the understanding of how all this related to a real person, not just a tooth, helps you keep your teeth and a beautiful smile for a lifetime.
